212 Carolina Herrera is one of the product lines of Carolina Herrera, a luxury brand that emerged in 1980. It started with a clothing line then expanded to bridal gowns, eye wears, handbags and fragrances. The fragrances were launched 11 years after the company was established.

This particular Carolina Herrera product line was created in 1997 with an inspiration of the aura of the city that never sleeps-New York City. It targets the market of the young men and women populace who want to embrace cosmopolitan luxury.

212 Carolina Herrera has various perfumes made for her and for him. Here are the product descriptions for each:

212 Women

Launched in 1997, it was the first 212 perfume made for women. It was created in collaboration with the perfumer Alberto Morillas. The opening notes for this scent include mandarin orange, bergamot and orange blossom. The middle notes are composed of lily, gardenia, and camellia, while the undertones are the usual sandalwood and light musk.

This perfume has a scent that is appropriate to wear on daily basis.

212 Men

A woody class perfume fused with a light floral scent that creates a sophisticated urban fragrance for men. It has top notes of fresh green with citrus leaves, spice leaves and cut grass. The heart notes include gardenia petals, spicy florals, ginger and green pepper. The base notes include, of course, the white and woody musk, sandalwood and incense.

The scent was recommended for day time use especially during spring season.

212 H20 Men

Carolina Herrera 212 H2O for men was launched in 2003 in a uniquely wine shaped bottle. It has base notes of sandalwood and musk, middle notes of nutmeg, gardenia and red currant and top notes of grapefruit, mandarin orange, juniper and cassia.

212 H20 Women

Also launched in 2003, the Carolina 212 H2O for women comes in a fresh citrus scent. The base notes still have the usual musk and sandalwood, and the middle notes are ginger and gardenia. The opening notes include bergamot, grapefruit and mandarin orange.

The 212 H2O for men and women are limited version perfumes by Carolina Herrera.

212 Sexy Women

This is a seductive scent for women launched in 2005 by Alberto Morillas. The base notes contain the sultry caramel, vanilla, musk, and sandalwood, combined with the light flowery middle notes of gardenia and geranium. It has top notes of pink pepper and bergamot.

212 Sexy Men

It contains the same base notes as the 212 Sexy Women, but the middle notes include vanilla and guaiac wood while the top notes include mandarin orange and bergamot. It is yet another oriental fougere-inspired scent by Alberto Morilla and Rosendo Mateu in 2006.

212 on Ice

Carolina Herrera 212 on Ice is a limited edition scent released only every summer of the year. Since the launch in 2003, they have released 212 on Ice for men and women in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2009.

This scent has the primary fragrances of mint, citrus and green leaves which give a cooling effect, specially made to sooth your summer.

212 VIP for Women

The 212 VIP aims to make a statement of “are you on the list” and “this is a private party” not only on their packaging, but also for the effect they want to convey. Launched in 2010, it envelops the exclusive night life of New York’s elite. It contains the distinctive notes of rum and passion fruit for its top notes with the middle notes of musk and gardenia and base notes of Tonka bean and vanilla.

212 VIP for Men

212 VIP for Men was launched after the 212 VIP for Women was released. It was created by Emilie Copperman, containing the prominent smell of gin and vodka with a twist of mint, passion fruit, ginger, black pepper, lime caviar, leather, wood, amber and spices.

These are some of the 212 Carolina Herrera fragrances, which mostly come in exclusive editions. With these wide selections, you can surely pick which scent suits your royal taste.

Personal Grooming Without The Salon

Going to the hair stylist can be a pain along with being costly, so skipping that step might be wise. Hair is not an incredibly difficult thing to replicate for most people, since most people do not have extremely elaborate hairstyles. A friend can usually benefit the procedure, as well as an eye for detail while monitoring the haircut. Cutting hair is a great skill to learn that can save lots of money throughout life, and with the right direction, can be more tailored to what the individual wants.

First, obtaining some equipment is necessary. All-in-one kits are fantastic to start out with and may sometimes contain excellent quality tools. If the person is a male, a shaver is typically required for shorter cuts. Everything can be substituted later if this becomes a serious hobby, so bear that in mind when first buying equipment. To be able to stay sharp and durable, premium scissors are often made from better materials. Inexpensive shavers get dull quicker and “tug” on the hair as opposed to cutting it. Tugging occurs when the hair is grabbed and not cut by the blade and it pulls on the scalp because of this, leaving the individual at least very uncomfortable.

Besides clipping equipment, styling chairs are essential to sit in. Getting started with a folding chair or another spare is great, as long as it is easily cleaned. Hair dropping into fabric and getting stuck appears messy and is not very clean. After home haircuts become regular, investing in nice hair salon furniture gives more choices and more convenience. Keeping someone in place and not by mistake spinning the chair can make it quicker and less annoying to position the scissors properly.

Next, learning how to cut hair is a wise idea. Basing creative ideas off of one’s favorite hair artist at the nearby salon is a good way to get ideas for a solid start. When making observations, focusing on the cut angle and cutting areas helps a lot. It is not as essential to pay attention to the cut itself as it is the way it is cut, because it is going to be difficult at first to replicate a haircut. If the person is not experienced at all with hairstyles, performing some research before going to the salon helps build the concept. Replicating something from a month ago can be hard, so taking many pictures of the haircut can serve as a great reminder.
